Tielhard de Chardin

A simple quote to journal on from the eminent philosopher and theologian Tielhard de Chardin.  de Chardin spoke of the noosephere 80 years ago.  The noosphere he predicted would be the next stage in the development of human thought and thinking.  He saw that the knowledge and mental capabilities of man would eventually hug the planet like a band.  This band would be filled with the sum total of man's intellectual capabilities and it would somehow impact the health of the earth.

Wow, weird or what.  I always loved de Chardin because his writings were so deep that you always felt you would grow and develop by being stretched in the reading of them.  Wired magazine just wrote a piece on how Tielhard's work is a predication of the WEB and the global crisis we are currently aware of.  http://www.wired.com/wired/archive/3.06/teilhard.html
